NICE TO MEET YOU

I'm Tyrone

I was born in Los Angeles in the early '70s... the only son to a Belizean immigrant mom and a truck-driving dad from Louisiana, back when seatbelts were optional and rotary phones ruled. My summers were spent just north of Monroe, Louisiana, laboring in the fields, until I got my first real job at 13 at an L.A. print shop. I've always had a relentless curiosity for how things work... always eager to tinker, take apart, and rebuild.

I played drums in the band, ran stage crew, and rigged the AV systems for every school production I could get my hands on. Voted "most likely to succeed" by my peers, I graduated from Crenshaw High School and went on to Cal State Long Beach.

Then, on a summer break, I was cleaning my church and got offered a "few days" of work as an electrical apprentice for my uncle.

That "few days" changed the direction of my life.

Years of working alongside him gave me the foundation to start my own electrical contracting business, I then added general contracting services, which ultimately grew into Trinity Contracting Concepts, Inc. Each business iteration taught me something the last one couldn't. But it was inside Trinity where I finally found my voice, and where I learned the hardest lesson of my career:

Effort builds fast. Design builds far.

I built... I grew... I hit seasons that were the best of times, and seasons that were, let's say, character-building.

Dr. King said it best: "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

Along the way, I got serious about the thinking behind the building. I trained directly under Bob Proctor and became a Thinking Into Results consultant... work that reshaped how I understood identity, alignment, and the gap between what a person wants and what they're actually structured to receive. That training didn't replace what I learned in the field. It gave me the language for it.

It's also how the Genesis Framework was born... seven structural principles, drawn from the creation account in Genesis 1 and 2, that determine whether a business fractures under pressure or scales with integrity. Vision. Boundaries. Systems. Limits. Stewardship. Metrics. Rhythm. It's the same order I wish someone had handed me thirty years ago, back when I was building fast and hoping the foundation would hold.

Today, as founder of WIN to Succeed, LLC, I coach business owners, contractors and construction professionals to close that gap... not with more hustle, but with the right order. So they don't have to learn it the hard way, the way I did.
